When: June 18-22, 2018
Where: Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia 1 Clay Sq, Charleston, West Virginia 25301
We had an amazing opportunity to work with a group of young video game developers right here in Appalachia at the Clay Center!
Together, we worked for a week on a collaborative game project titled "King Man's Revenge!" The campers created the art assets, wrote music and sound effects, designed the levels, developed all the game object behavior, and worked in the GameMaker: Studio IDE!
We would like to proudly announce the first release of King Man's Revenge, playable right here in your browser through the AGCA Arcade! The first version has a fully playable build, complete with on-screen controls for mobile devices. It does not, however, have any in-game audio due to some technical difficulties. This feature will be added soon, so stay posted!
To play the game, simply visit the following link:
or visit the AGCA Games Page. Let the game load briefly and enjoy the campers' work!
Special thanks to the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia for working with us on this project! We can't wait to do another camp soon!
